ENIKŐ KATALIN EGED

Illustrator and print designer Enikő Katalin Eged studied at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and Romeʼs Accademia di Belle Arti, and you can read these international influences in her pieces. She loves illustrative narratives with a strong atmosphere and the feeling of familiarity. Abstract, intuitive forms as patterns and feelings are the most powerful side of her art. Her favourite topics are bodega cats, sapphic love, memories and nature.

... (A short description about bodega cats, which I wrote for Big Issue Taiwan:)

I truly love drawing everyday life moments, and bodega cat illustrations are one of my favorite topics. When I enter a shop, bakery, or market and I notice there are cats inside, I feel immediately at home, and I think that nice people work and live here because they share their place with cats. Drawing and practicing detailed packages and animal illustrations gives me peace of mind, and it's a kind of meditative process for me.
